Meet Ayub: The Website Expert Championing Wellbeing in Education

As part of our Meet the Team series, we are pleased to introduce our SEO aficionado, Ayub Sarfraz. With over six years' experience in content writing, website building, and search engines, Ayub brings a breadth of technological knowledge to youHQ.

Joining us in October 2024, Ayub has worked closely with our brand and social media teams to develop and execute our website's new look. In this interview, he opens up about his role, his thoughts on wellbeing and safeguarding, and his creative pursuits outside of the office.

Where does your passion for education, safeguarding and wellbeing come from? If you didn’t start off in a career related to wellbeing and education, can you give us a little summary of your career so far?

I have been in the tech industry for over 6 years now, staring off my career with web development. I was also writing content for multiple clients and soon started dabbling in search engine optimisation and realised how important it is for website and online businesses to have a clear strategy when it comes to having more visibility and ranking on the web.

Long story short, my six years of experience was exactly what was needed at youHQ in this role and here I am today working with the dream team!

What attracted you to youHQ when we first met?

After joining the team at youHQ, I got to know first-hand the impact our platform and team are creating in schools and communities. To be able to play a part in the whole machinery is something I cherish very much.

If you could wave a magic wand, what would it do linked to wellbeing and safeguarding?

For every person in the world to be able to have the equal opportunity and resources to be able to live a mentally healthy life. I have seen in many parts of the world where wellbeing and safeguarding are just words for them.

What’s one random fact most people don’t know about you?

I love writing short stories and even had some of my stories published in local magazines when I was in college. I still create stories for my kids and they love it.

Favourite Film?

The Prestige and Interstellar by Chris Nolan. Also all 9 films by Quentin Tarantino. Oh wait, was I suppose to mention just one?

Any hobbies? What’s your favourite thing to do in your spare time?

My all time favourite hobbies are to curl up in bed and read through a complete book/novel until its finished (I finished the Deathly Hallows book in record 16 hours the day it was released) and play football on the weekend.

Ayub's knowledge in SEO has made him a great addition to team youHQ over the past few months. We're looking forward to celebrating his one-year work anniversary very soon - and can't wait to see how his love of technology and innovation continues to move our wellbeing mission forward!
