Through interactive discussion and practical strategies, students will explore the power of movement, emotional self-awareness, and strong relationships.

 

They’ll also be encouraged to stay curious, set goals, and develop a sense of purpose through acts of kindness. Together, these pillars equip young people with lifelong habits for resilience, motivation, and personal growth.

Financial Wellbeing

With financial stress increasingly affecting young people, this session provides an age-appropriate and non-judgemental space to explore the basics of financial wellbeing.

 

Jon Ford, who holds a master’s in psychology, guides students through simple yet powerful principles around money management, saving, and spending.

Managing Anxiety

Understanding anxious thoughts and building mental resilience

In this empowering session, Jon Ford explains what anxiety really is—from a psychological and physiological point of view—and how students can better understand their own responses to stress. Drawing on evidence-based practices from positive psychology,

 

Jon introduces techniques such as grounding, reframing thoughts, and self-regulation strategies to help students respond to anxiety in healthier ways.

With Jez’s background in PE and as a Director of Sport, Jez combines the youHQ platform, key concepts and goal setting with some high octane, competitive movement using the fantastic Moki Bands.

Jon Ford breaks down the stages of sleep, explains the impact of poor sleep on mental and physical health, and shares realistic strategies students can use to improve their bedtime habits.

 

Whether they struggle to fall asleep, stay asleep, or feel refreshed in the morning, students will leave with actionable advice for building better sleep routines.
