A private space to reflect, grow, and breathe.
The youHQ Journal is a confidential place for students to freely express their thoughts, feelings and ideas—without judgment, grades or expectations. It’s a daily check-in with yourself, guided by prompts that spark gratitude, self-awareness and calm.

Write it out. Let it go.
Journaling is proven to reduce stress and increase emotional literacy. Our digital journal makes it easy for students to:
Reflect on how they’re feeling
Process emotions and experiences
Explore what matters to them
Capture ideas that could become future goals
Build positive habits of gratitude and mindfulness
No pressure. No audience. Just space to breathe and be yourself.

100% private, always
Students’ journal entries are completely confidential. No teacher or staff member can view them. This is their personal space—and they have full control over it.
Safe by design
youHQ Journals are private by default—created to be a safe space for self-reflection. However, they are also designed to support schools in meeting their statutory safeguarding obligations under Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and the Prevent Duty.
To assist with this, we’ve built a discreet sentiment detection feature that flags high-risk language linked to common mental health concerns. This helps safeguarding teams stay informed—without undermining student trust.
Please note: this tool is not a ‘catch-all’ solution and should be used responsibly, in conjunction with wider safeguarding and monitoring practices.

A quiet driver of personal growth
The Journal isn’t just for venting—it’s a catalyst for change. Regular reflection builds emotional awareness, helps students stay connected to their values, and turns thoughts into meaningful action.
Over time, this quiet practice contributes to stronger wellbeing, greater resilience and deeper self-knowledge.
