THE FUNDAMENTALS · 3 MIN READ
What do schools teach?
Emotional literacy, resilience, self-reflection and personal development.

THE KEY IDEA
Wellbeing isn't a bolt-on. In youHQ schools it's woven into daily school life.
The skills
youHQ schools help pupils build the life skills they need to thrive: self-awareness, emotional literacy, healthy habits, empathy and respect, and a sense of meaning and direction.
A joined-up approach
Many schools use youHQ alongside a wider wellbeing curriculum, mentoring, leadership development or character education, so every child feels seen, safe and supported.
TRY THIS AT HOME
Name the feeling
When your child is upset or excited, help them put a name to the feeling: "It sounds like you felt left out." Naming feelings is the first step in emotional literacy.
Curious about your school's own programme? Ask your school how they use youHQ day to day.
