🇬🇧 Ofsted EIF + SEND Review · UK State Schools

Turn wellbeing and SEND support into clear Ofsted evidence

youHQ helps you listen to pupils, track wellbeing and SEND needs, and show Ofsted how you act on the data — every term, every year.

Inspection-ready wellbeing data, built into everyday practice

Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework (EIF) places significant weight on pupils' wellbeing, behaviour, personal development and the quality of SEND provision. The 2023 SEND Review strengthened this further — inspectors now want to see systematic pupil voice, early identification of need, and joined-up support over time.

youHQ is designed precisely for this: turning daily check-ins and reflections into the kind of longitudinal, evidenced data that gives inspectors confidence and gives you clarity.

How youHQ covers this

Capture and act on pupil voice about wellbeing

youHQ's daily mood check-ins, weekly reflections and validated wellbeing surveys give every student a structured, private way to share how they feel. Staff dashboards surface patterns automatically — so pupil voice becomes evidence, not just conversation.

Early identification of SEND and vulnerable groups

Filter wellbeing data instantly by SEND, Pupil Premium, EAL or any focus group. Automatic low-mood alerts notify pastoral staff the moment a student's wellbeing dips — enabling early intervention before needs escalate.

Systematic interventions with clear follow-up and review

Every concern can be turned into a logged action — assigned to a member of staff, dated and tracked through to a review outcome. This gives SENCOs and DSLs a clear, auditable record of joined-up support over time.

Leadership uses wellbeing data to drive school improvement

youHQ dashboards and exportable reports feed directly into your SEF, SDP and governor reporting cycle. Leaders can show Ofsted how wellbeing data informs decisions — not just that they collect it.

What an Ofsted conversation looks like with youHQ

An inspector asks how the school identifies and supports pupils with SEND who may be struggling emotionally. Your SENCO opens the youHQ dashboard, filters by SEND, and shows wellbeing trends for the group over two terms.

They point to three students flagged by the early-warning system in October, the actions logged within 48 hours, and the follow-up review notes from December. The inspector notes it as "well-evidenced and systematic." The conversation lasts four minutes — because the data is already there.

We were recently inspected by KHDA, we used the platform to show progress in student wellbeing. We took a sample of students in Primary and Secondary and demonstrated through the platform the increase in their mood levels.
