The Challenge: To provide a platform to support the Senior Mental Health lead, to provide data to inform the outstanding work she carries out, and to give students a chance to reach out more regularly.

The Solution: Our work with Casterton was an extension of the initial pilot with Leicestershire County Council. Used as part of a mental health DSL toolkit (alongside a trained therapy dog) since September 2022, the platform has been implemented through the whole school via a new weekly form-time programme, Wellbeing Wednesday.

The Wellbeing Wednesday sessions at Casterton were recently praised in the school's OFSTED report, where the college was graded as good. The report further noted that Casterton College 'has been creative in designing programmes that support pupils' mental health and wellbeing.'

youHQ has been absolutely amazing! It’s helped us reach students that lack the courage or confidence to reach out. It’s packed with useful resources for staff and students alike. The team at youHQ have helped every step of the way, you have to try the app to understand its full benefits.
